20th Sept, 2026 — Day 1
Dear Sana,
Going to a new city is scary. But certain things make it less scary, in my experience.
This is what I think:
- Think about all the times you made new friends in new places — the initial awkwardness, the fun, the settling down, all of it. A bit of all of that is going to play out again. And everything always settles. Because most things have happy endings — if it’s not a happy state yet, that just means it isn’t the ending yet.
- New places — just imagine you get to explore a whole new world. So many great food places, finally good Italian, the white spaghetti pasta you’ve always wanted, and so much more.
- AND REMEMBER, THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE YOU CAN ALWAYS LEAN ON. They’d be just as excited to hear about all the fun, weird stuff happening there.
And I know this is the first time for you, so none of this might actually make sense right now. But you’ll get the hang of it.
You’ve made me proud with this change — taking it all on your own, with no one’s help. It’s all very difficult, and there’s so much to figure out.
But just remember how happy Snehal of 2023 would be, to see just this much.
Always,
Sahil, your loving BF
P.S. White spaghetti pasta, first weekend. I’m holding you to it.
